So here we go. Now I'VE got a blog too.
While we where building the website I kept coming up with (in my own humble opinion) brilliant ideas for blog posts. Now that it's a actually reality and the opportunity to write something ground-breakingly essential to the world ..I seem to have run dry.
Anyway. I woke up this morning (da,da,da,da,da)...feeling really dizzy, and I immediately turned on my laptop to check if I had symptoms of malaria.....as you do in a situation like that. Now you might laugh about this if you aren't aware of that I just came home from 10 days in India with the Dub Pistols.... We had an amazing time there, and as usual when I have a good time somewhere I want to stay.
Mumbai's chaos traffic, honking car horns, vast slums, rotten smells, pollution and decay seemed, at the time, as the only cool place to be in the whole world !
Now, I know myself well (as you do) and as we approached Heathrow I said to myself: "Myself, don't do that thing you always do when you've had a good time....etc", and after a couple of suicidal days back in London, I emerged myself into the idea of putting all my negative energy into getting my band up and running.
As it is, that was probably a good thing to do when you consider that I am playing my debut band gig TONIGHT !! YEAH !!
I have rehearsed with the amazing musicians Chloe Treacher (Bas,vocals), Ollie Hipkin (Drums) and Ben Ferrari (guitar, vocals) several times....during the last week and we are actually beginning to sound like a proper band now. And tonights the big night !
